Default kernel panic when using usb-ohci

hi all,

if I boot with a self-compiled kernel with usb-ohci and (or without) mass-storage support I get a kernel panic, after I installed the nvidia-drivers:

unable to handle kernel NULL pointer derefenrence at virtual address .....
<o> kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
ln Interrupt handler - not syncing

Seems to be irq related. Any ideas what I can do?
Without the nvidia driver the kernel starts fine. Btw I also cannot link the usb-ohci static into the kernel - I get the same result even without nvidia driver.
I really need that usb stuff for my pda and digital cam and I also dont want to do without the nvidia drivers.

My System is debian woody (pinnig activated)
with kernel 2.4.20, and nvidia 4349 drivers (from unstable - self compiled).

Again, X + nvidia runs fine without usb-ohci.

I have the same problem, but only when I do the following:

1) boot up, using standard boot with nvidia modules inserted
2) start X
3) at some point in time, switch to console (known bug causes a hard lockup)
4) computer displays the same issue you mention, until I power off the computer for 5 minutes

Strange problem, to be sure.

(note: the lockup bug is because I have a tuner on my card)
