Default X Wont start with nvidia drivers

I was having problems with a usb pen drive and other usb devices. I updated the bios for my mother board which had some fixes for the usb devices (see sig for specs .... EPoX 8RDA+)
The date of the bios file was: 06/11/2003
The file name was 8rda3609
When I ran the program (in windows to update the bios) MagicBios it went to the internet and Downloaded another file, this one I thik was called 8RDA38* .... or something along those lines.

It installed the bios and updated it OK, when I rebooted it was OK, windows did say however that it had found a new graphics card ... very strange, as I hadn't put a new one in

But it still worked OK.

I went into linux, and when I booted up, X wouldn't start .... it said it was unable to load the nvidia kernal module.

I unistalled the NVIDIA drivers, and reinstalled them ... using the NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run file, with the --update option.

It said that it worked fine, but I still got the error complaining about unable t load the nvidia kernal module.

You can look at the log from trying to start HERE

For the moment I am running X with the built in nv drivers from Mandrake 9.1
ie. in the XF86Config-4 file the driver is
"nv" not "nvidia"

Usefull stuff:
Mandrake 9.1
Kernal version: 2.4.21-0.13mdk
BIOS on M/B: 6A61BPAAC-00
Thanks for any help

Default

Sorry about that ........ the link to the XF86 log was when I had the driver set to "nv" in the config file, the log when X wont load with the driver set to "nvidia" is now there, same link.

I have also uploaded the XFree86 config file:
HERE

It is the conf file I am using at the momet.... with "nv"

But the only difference between that and the one when I run "nvidia"

is the change of "nv" to "nvidia"

and the Load GLX line isn't commented out.

Thanks for any help.
