Default Geforce FX 5800 Color Correction = warped game color. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Let me start with the specs. Athlon 2700+, ASUS A7N8X delux, 120 gb hd, 1 gig ram, Geforce FX 5800 Ultra vid card.

One of the things I enjoyed about my old geforce 3 was the ability to change the cards color correction on the desktop and have the changes carry over into applications. This has posed a huge problem with my Geforce FX 5800 ultra card. Upon entering a game after making changes to the cards color correction for optimum viewing, the game loads with completely warped colors making it unplayable. However, to fix this all it takes is switching color correction back to default @ the desktop. This can not be the only solution! If ANYONE has an answer on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it. And yes, I have the latest detonator drivers.

I have a similar problem (I think). If I lower my gamma\brightness too low, the really dark colors turn like BLUE or PINK or WHITE. Its really anoying, but most games have gamma\brightness adjusters so it doesnt bother me. It did this on both my Ti 4400 and my current MX200 PCI. I never had this problem before a few months ago (probably 2 or 3 official driver versions back), but like I said, its easy to avoid if you just raise the gamma a bit.
