Default Blank main screen console pressing ctrl+alt+f1 but working secondary screen

Hi All,

it's a lot of time that I try to solve the famous bug "blank console" that happens when someone switches from X to one VT (ctrl+alt+F1 or F2...). I tried at least 5-6 releases of nvidia drivers.
Today, I have seen a movie using my laptop and the s-video output to connect it to my TV set under Windows XP, after I have rebooted on Linux. Then I've noticed that when I switch to console, I have a blank console as usual on the laptop screen, but the console appears on the TV set. Is this an expected behavior? How can I have the VT appearing on my laptop screen?
My hardware is:
Amilo M 3438G with a GeForce Go 6800 256MB
My OS is Debian (testing)
Nvidia driver version: 169.07 (installed using the nvidia installer)
