You wifes comp with has a 8800GT....right.
Doesn't the VGA on your TV have RCA inputs assigned to it for audio? Thats how I do it. Slapped on a DVI to VGA connector on the PC and run headphone jack type connectors from the PC to the TV which has audio jacks for the VGA. |

Or you can use your sound cards front interface (if you have it) to connect the audio jacks from there to the TV, or do what S.I.N. said. I had the same problem about the audio, up until I read S.I.N.'s post. I do have one of those audio jacks, I use it with my iPod
.You could use the standard RCA jacks from your sound cards front interface thing, you could use an 3.5mm male/male jack from your PC to the TV, you could just plug your PC speakers into your computer, you could get one of those RCA/3.5mm jacks (which I have, too, lol) and run it from your PC to the TV, or you could just use plain old headphones. There are various ways. RCA to 3.5mm ![]() 3.5mm to 3.5mm male/male ![]()

Not really. VGA is analogue, so it will depend on things like the connections, cables etc, but not a huge amount (Then again you are using a 20 foot cable?). If you can see a difference between VGA and DVI on a PC you will notice that VGA isn't as good as HDMI/DVI on your TV.
