Default How do I configure xorg for nVidia driver?

The system used to run fine at 1280x1024. The driver is

NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7667-pkg1.run

Two days ago, the system hangs with X taking 99% of CPU. I rebooted the machine and the display changed to 800x600.

I reinstalled the driver. At the end, it asked to re-configure xorg.

How do I configure xorg to use the correct driver and enable the higher resolution?

Thanks!
