Default nforce2 ethernet problem on Linux

I have an Epox 8RDA+ (nforce2) and im running Red Hat 9.0. I upgraded the kernel to 2.4.20 9 so I could install the chipset drivers for Red Hat 9 2.4.20 9. The sound and everything works.. and the network card appears (nvnet)... but it always says nvnet cannot be activated because its not present.. and often it says there is unresovled symbols in nvnet.o.... What wrong??

I can get the ethernet to work with Red Hat 8.0.. but not 9.0

everything works for me under 2.4.20-18.9 kernel from the redhat autoupdate thing. Just let the nforce drivers compile under that kernel and it may work.
