Default Bad sign?

I'm running on beloved vista 32 bit with the newest RC SP1 patch, and started Disk Defragmenter at 6:30pm it now 12:16am Sunday and it still working. I have a 300Gb hard drive and only have 122Gb spaced used.Does vista take about 6 hours to complete defrag? could this be a sign of my hard drive is crapping out? or vista just being junk?

Vista turned the defrag into a background task, so it's slower and you won't notice any hitching when you try to use your computer with it on

vista defrags automatically

running defrag is almost pointless anyway, turn off the prefetcher and your performance will go higher than if you defrag daily (for a lot of people, not all).

Get Diskeeper 2008. It runs fast and it does damn good job.
