rh8.0 and XFree update broke Quake3 1.32 mouse action

kernel-2.4.20-18.8, XFree86-4.2.1-21, NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run, Everything works fine with Cstrike/wineX, Q1, Q2, UT, and UT2k3.
Everything works in Q3 except mouse motion and wheel. Buttons seems to work. (USB-wheel mouse Optical from M$).
Starting a singe player game is the only thing from Q3 that gives me an error:
^3>>>INVALDID/MISSING SERVER-SIDE CONTENT>>>^7 .

Also, my UPS with two PC's shuts down when I run Q3

, never saw that before XFree update. I got a Leadtek GF4-4600 "WinFastA250 Ultra TO" .
Enclosed is an strace of the Q3 starting up then exiting normally via "quit" command from console.

Are you running the 1.32B pointrelease for q3a? 1.32B fixes the mouse issue with the newer X and quake.

boy I missed this one. The patch is old, 2002-11-21 , evidently I had no problems with the other patch I got 10-11-02 until recently.
Anyway the "linuxq3apoint-1.32b.x86.run" solved it.

This worked fine with XFree 4.1, and no longer does. 1.32b adds a safe check to work again with XFree 4.2, but basically the input timing is back to 1.31 quality.

Some new cvars related to the mouse control:
in_dgamouse - not new, but be sure to have it set to 1 on any recent system
in_subframe - completely disables sub-frame timing. If XFree 4.2
in_subframe 1 won't hurt, but it won't do anything either.
in_nograb - for mod developers. Set to 1 and run windowed, Q3 won't be grabbing your mouse pointer (useful for debug breaks)
