OK I managed to make it work.
In modules.conf: options nvidia NVreg_Mobile=2 In Device section of Xconfig-4: Option "IgnoreEDID" "1" but it only works in max resolution of my laptop which is 1280x1024. gf4 460go is to slow for gaming in such high resolutions.when I try to set lower res of desktop in X or lower res in game, screen splits horizontally in two parts with gray bars..... Is there any way to set lower resolutuions properly in my case? Last edited by Gutko; 05-22-03 at 06:38 PM. |

You are not using Nvidia 3D acceleration.
In your XF86Config, Device is "nv", meaning you are using Opensource driver from XFree without 3D acceleration. use nvidia instead. |

I'm currently having the same issue on my Toshiba 1955-s801 Geforce 440 Go 32MB. I get the pink psychedelic screen. My default res of my screen is supposed to be 1024x768. I've changed the module.conf to every setting possible it seems and no success. If you get your fully running can you send me a copy of your XF86Config. I never had this issue with the old 4191 drivers. I even got TwinView running good. What really sucks is that I'm a developer just making the switch from windows to linux coding and wanted to work on graphic rendering under linux. Ah the joys of being a geek, ah nerd, ahhhhh IT Professional hmmmm. uber geek IT Professional student.
That sounds better. |
