OK,
so I'm a newbie to Linux. I'm pretty sure that my system is not using the graphics card correctly. Here's how I came to that conclusion: - TuxRacer and Chromium games are REAL slow. - I installed Return To Castle Wolfenstein and the GUI gives me an error message as it fails, stating that my OpenGL is software based and not hardware. Here's my sysdata: HardDrake description of my video card - Vendor: nVidia Corporation Bus: PCI Bus identification: 10de:110 Location on the bus: 1:0:0 Description: NV11 Geforce2 MX/MX 400 Module: Card:NVIDIA GeForce2 DDR (generic) Media class: DISPLAY_VGA Distribution - MANDRAKE 9.1 Processor - AMD Athlon(tm) 1Ghz Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-7ZMM Bios - AMI 7ZMM F7 Chipset - VT8363/8365 [KT133/KM133 AGP]
