mine does 3.6GHz no problem. dont have the RAM for 4+ GHz atm.

I have my 9650 at 4.2Ghz. I know I can get more just was waiting untell I have everything setup.

I'm running mine at 3.6 (400x9) now. 1.28V vcore idle and 1.23V load. 4.0 (400x10)requires 1.40+ vcore (max vcore is 1.3625V according to Intel) in BIOS. Temps are good but I'm worried about the high vcore so I dropped it to 3.6. Didn't notice any performance difference in games running at 4.0 and 3.6.

It takes 1.42 to hit 4GHz, what are safe load temps for this CPU? I think the 780i runs a little hot.

64.5C according to Intel. That is the Tcase temperature btw, not actual core temps.

Yeah, the 780i runs hot, active cooling on the north bridge is recommended.

My temps seem a little high compared to others, I might try the MSI board http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...5&postcount=17, my power led is still not working after three boards
