Default GeForce 7050 PV + bktr

Hi,

my system is FreeBSD 7.0-PRERELEASE.

I have a bktr-based TV-card (Hauppauge WinTV PCI/Radio) with an GeForce 7050PV graphics card. I have a really bad performance with this combination as you can see in http://daemon.crashmail.de/~stell/000_0039.MOV

There is no interrupt storm and the system idle is at 95%.

It works fine with Xorg vesa. I cannot use Xorg nv because my 7050PV is not supported by nv.

Systeminfo:

mmm..
I don't know the reason, but i remember that with bktr driver there was an issue about the DGA infrastructure. Originally, the bktr driver used the Direct Graphic Access to render the tv picture, but since DGA it's considered obsolete, the default X11 configuration does not activate it. On the other hand, i remember that "nvidia" driver does not support DGA, so the only way for me to use the tv card was to explicitly activate it in xorg.conf and use the "nv" driver.
I don't know if something has recently changed, but you can try to see if your problem is related to DGA

Thanks for your reply. I cannot use "nv" because it does not support my Geforce 7050PV
