3DMARK 06 low scores. Help!
Hi guys, it's been a while.
I was just playing with my system and I benchmarked it and I got really low scores. When I should be scoring close to 8000 I got only 4266. Now my CPU scores as much as the other CPUs, but my GeForce for some reason seems like is working with half the performance. All of the scores were half the points from the other GeForce 7800 GTs out there. I have a eVga 7800 gt co 470/1100 and I am running the latest WHQL drivers: 169.21 Am I missing something here? PLease give me a hand here... Thanks! |

Why do you think you should be scoring 8000? That's a stock 8800 GTS score. Your score looks fine for a 7800 GT. I think you're overestimating what that card can do.
I think I know what's going on. You may be seeing some optimized SLI scores. That's all I can think of.

Yeah I just noticed that.... My bad...
Its been a while since I benchmarked with 3D mark and I didnt see that you can choose to compare only with single GeForce cards..... Well I might be getting another GeForce ...... Thanks for the response though. |

Maybe you should turn off the AA and AF controls in the nvpanel.

I was scoring 8k with my 7900GTX and 4800+ with minor GPU overclocks

I just looked up the ORB... All scores over 8k w/ X2 4800+ and 7900 GTX are only SLI. There are no single card results that high in 3dmark06. Are you sure you're not thinking of 3dmark05 Liberty?
