Compositing Instability with 169.xx drivers

Just a quick question / problem report:

Since 169.07 and now with 169.12, I've seen a big regression in compositing stability with Compiz-Fusion. The previous driver works fine, but something has changed in the last two releases to cause this problem. When I enable compiz-fusion, I'm seeing graphics corruption on the screen, along with having crashes intermittently as well. Its bad enough to make compiz unusable for more than a few minutes at a time.

This error is on a varity of hardware here, a GF 5500 AGP, 6100 integrated, and PCIx 8600.

The weird thing is that regular 3d / opengl support still seems to work OK, it's just a bug with compositing. For the record, I've tried it with Xorg 7.2, 7,3, and FreeBSD 6.2 and 6.3, it has the same error on all. Anybody else seeing this?

I have a similar problem with 169.07 and 169.12 driver (FreeBSD-6.3/7.0, GeForce-7600GS/6150):

100.14.23 - this driver works fine (but a bit slower than 169.xx).
169.07 - Xorg Server is crashes periodically.
169.12 - Xorg Server is crashes periodically , but not so often as 169.07 version.
169.12 - graphics corruption on the screen.
all drivers - After a few days of using the Xorg it will be impossible to output video through "Xvideo" (mplayer -vo xv). A mplayer window becomes corrupted.

Developers, say me, please, that you took it into account. (-;
