Everything workrd fine until a few days back, when suddenly my screen stared freezing. I later examined to find that kernel log contains 'module license 'NVIDIA' taints kernel' just at the time of freeze.
Is this a hardware issue or is it related to drivers?? my system works fine on open-source drivers. Please help me out. |

There are several other threads related to freezing. You should post the results of nvidia bug report (read the stickies). Then we can all see if there are other problems.
nvidia tainting the kernel is normal if you're using the proprietary driver (so kernel devs know if closed source modules are being used). |
