Default This Thermaltake Typhoon...

is freaking awesome. I was looking to return it, but I am glad I didn't. Its virtually silent(16db) and cools extremely well! I haven't overclocked my E8400 yet, so I'm sure I won't be as good as a 120 Ultra Extreme. But for me non overclocked, this processor has yet to go over 38C! Idles at around 29C.

Theres no real point to this thread as if I were to do it over again, I would probably still buy the Thermalright 120 Ultra Extreme just for overclocking cooling. But still, for $44 bucks you can't really beat the Thermaltake Typhoon. I'm pretty happy.

I have one myself. It cools my Q6600 while the Xtreme 120 cools my E8400. I lapped both of them close to mirror finish/shine. The Extreme 120 was pretty rough before I lapped it. The Big Typhoon wasn't too shabby even before I lapped. Did it just for self gratification.

Got one of those cooling the FX-60 in my Mom's rig. Even with dual 640MB 8800GTSs the CPU never breaches 50*C. Heck, seldom get's passed 45*C even when under 100% load.

She's not a gamer, but my little sister is.

And no, she doesn't have a web cam. And if I ever caught you near her trying to pull anything I'd put you six feet under.

I don't exactly keep my cables neat and tidy. I don't think you want to see any pics. Its pretty normal looking, other than the 900 case.
