Default Intel® X38 chipset

Hello Everyone,

I was looking at the P5E3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP@n Motherboard, uses the X38 chipset. Says it supports ATI Crossfire but no mention about Nvidia SLI. I am a NVidia user and want to run SLI. Does this board work with SLI or I am better off getting a nForce 790i Motherboard?

I want to have:

1600 FSB
DDR 3
SLI Support
I like the 8 Phase power regulation
Like the ability to make it an WiFi-AP

Any suggestions would be really appreciated

Monnie

Nope, no SLI support on the P35 or X38.

The only non-nvidia chipset that supports SLI is the skulltrail. And this is the only board that uses it:

Reviewed By: Pyro on 4/7/2008 Tech Level: high
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: I put this bad boy together with 2 Yorkfield QX9775s and 4 9800GX2s and this thing SCREAMS. I can convert a 25GB Blu-Ray AVI file to DVD format in less than a minute. I run Crysis totally maxed with all goods up. 75fps all around, 75 being my limit because of my refresh rate.
Cons: PRICE! WOW. I really hit my funds on this one. But oh well, no payments for 12 months. Easy financing, a steal for me.

Other Thoughts: GET IT. You won't regret it.

lol this guy is full of ****!

Whats the story behind Skulltrail supporting both sli and Xfire? Is it a nvidia chipset or does it have everything in there?
