Unhappy Error Installing drivers On Kernel 2.6.25

I have a problem!
I have an geforce mx 4000 and I can't install the drivers for nvidia (in kernel 2.6.25 compiled by me), it exits whit the error "failed to compile" after try that.
(I try to install the driver called NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.05-pkg1.run obviously)

It works fine in the kernel pre-compiled for ubuntu

Anybody can help me please?
