Cool Nvidia, Could you create a Debian Linux Version of

your Overscan Utility that you created for Windows XP? So that i can 1808x1016 resolution as opposed to 1080i resolution...Who's Overscan is worse than XP's...I'm using a Monster HDMI cable or DVI to an xfx Geforce 6600 with 512mb of ram to my Samsung LN-S4092D LCD Monitor TV....

Again, I ask of you to help me and everyone else that has this problem?

Uh.... there's modelines for this. Read the nVidia README.

And there's no need to make a "Debian" version. You only need a *Linux* version.

And the fact you are using a Monster brand cable....... *facepalm*

If this is being used with MythTV then just use the --geometry option.

I'm running my set at 720p (combing at 1080i was driving me nuts). To correct for the overscan I start mythtv as follows:

mythfrontend --geometry 1162x718+54-2

If you're running version .21 check out the screen setup option in the frontend. Use that to fit the picutre to you set and not the geometry is tells you. Put that in the startup command. To break it down, it's starting the front end with an 1162x718 resolution and moving it 54 pixels to the right and two pixels up.
