I'll find out on the Orthos when I get home today. Game stable so far..crossing fingers on the Orthos. I wouldn't be surprised if I need to bump the vcore just a touch as everything I've seen suggests 1.24 or more for 600mhz overclock or above.
EDIT: Orthos failed right after I left the house this morning. I'll nudge the vcore and try again.

Thanks man..I ever mention I get nervous playing with the voltages?

lol, 1.25 on vcore, 1.35 NB and it seems stable at the moment. I'm hoping I can get away with this as it seems a good speed for me. not a hardcore overclocker.

EDIT: Think I may have it.
NB @ 1.35, strap @ 400Mhz, ram @ 2.26 - spec is 2.3
I'll run it overnight and see how it does. Fast, sweet chip this 8400. 9 apps including 2 orthos and not even noticable.

Man, I need to push my new QX9550 ES and see how far I can take it. I bumped it up to 3GHz with nary a hiccup by changing the mult to 9x but I know I can take it higher. I love rig refreshes.

Ive run Super-Pi before but I cant understand the results for the life of me. Can someone please explain?

BTW, I've found that OCCT is the better test for stability. I can pass Super-Pi, Prime95 and 3DMark06 without issue, yet I will fail OCCT at the same settings!

The 1M test is what most OC'ers run. It's a single-core program, so your times come down to sheer processing speed. You want to keep an eye on the time it takes to run the 1M test. (11.246s in my above test compared to a low of 13.4 on my E6600 that was clocked at 3.6GHz.)
