Runs well, looks nice, and I enjoyed the combat. CAPCOM also included a functional gamepad config utility so I was able to use my Xbox Controller-S without any issues. Feels like a very solid port.

2048x1536, 2xAA (no Adaptive AA, forgot to turn it on), 16xAF

Don't know, I never have the frame rate counter on.

*Edit*

I did run the benchmark, though. I ran it at 1600x1200 and 2048x1536, both are playable (16x12 averaging 55-60FPS, 20x15 averaging 35FPS) but AA needs to be off at 2048x1536 for it to be enjoyable (I turned it on for the screenshots) otherwise the game always feels slow rather than just during more intense scenes. While 2048x1536 is doable, 1600x1200 is optimal for me. This is at maximum detail, mind you.

I ran the benchmark on my system and I got between 40-60 FPS with it at 1900x1200 no AA super high everything. But when I went to play the demo there was a section that had you feeling like everything was in slow motion. I ended up having to drop to 1650 resolution so that everything stayed smooth. This was DX10 btw.

BTW: I did try DX9 and it runs significantly better a solid over 50 FPS at 1900x1200 4xAA super high everything.

I'm betting the gameplay is probably 60fps minimum. So it's like a NES game, if things start to slowdown, so does the gameplay itself.

Yeah, DX9 runs a lot better. Weird, since Lost Planet was one of the few games to run better in DX10 mode at the same settings. There's also a rendering bug with DX10 mode (on my HD3850, at least) where you can see the outlines of the triangles that make up some of the water and the crystal orbs.
