I imagin it will do no worse then LotR. It will be there for ex-wow players, but wont replace wow.

Remember, WoW actually pulled people from eq in beta. Many people incl me (Who was a progressing raid player in eq) thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, and that was while it was still in beta. I game has to pretty much be awesome in beta to top wow, this wasnt it. Maybe next time. Saddly guild wars 2 is still aways down the line.

As long as it keeps its community and servers i'll be happy, and if i can actually play it, and for some reason my free month hasn't registered?? :S

Im on Omm (?) server with CaptnStubing... I love the game so far, only level 6 but its so fun. The combat is so unique compared to all the other MMOs. It also runs great on my lappy at high settings.

How are Barbarians later in the game? I hope they are a good dmg dealing class...

A friend of mine is playing a 47 barbarian at the moment and he says they do excellent damage. Just stay away from Demonologists if you want a damage dealing class.

I want rogue/monk (eq1) like characters where they are pure dmg.

HoX is pure damage dealing class
The whole class is about dps. Protection ? pff.. its kill them faster than they kill you
Its a suicide class they even have a feat where you get resurrected when you die

They pretty much have no protection at all but they are killing stuff like 50 superpowered ninjas combined

Herald of Xotli. They are like a melee/caster glass cannon.

I'm at 41 with my demonologist, and truth be told, I havent played in 4 days because I'm just bored. I donno if its the content, the class, or what not, but I almost don't want to get on.

I think it might be the class, kinda seems all I do is cast the same 1 or 2 spells over and over, because its really the only way to kill things.

How are the necromancers? Are the demonologist the class with the succubus?

Magus, go with a Tempest of Set. They are currently one of the most powerful classes with healing, aoe, and kiting ability. They really shine at higher levels.

Barbarians got a fix with the patch yesterday. I put out more damage due to the fact they fixed my rage stance. This big boost in DPS is very nice and make the class even more fun. My barbarian is 47 with pretty good gear but good gear in this game lasts for 10 levels or so.

If you do stick with your barbarian, stay with two handers. Duel wielding is useless. You don't get any stuns I know of up to lvl 47. Two handed spec gives you 4 stun abilities when you get to level 20 or so. With out the aoe stun taking on multiple mobs is impossible.

The problem is that everyone is playing a ToS. IF the server is flooded with one class they become useless for groups.
