The UT3 engine doesn't have a problem running on current hardware, its already pretty easy to max out. Even if you don't like Crysis its a far more intresting test for these cards and why everyone wants to see performance numbers for it.

GTX 280/260 will simply crush the UT3 engine under is feet, if GPU's had feet.

When it comes to nVidia GPU's Faud from Fudzilla is usually correct actually. Actually, this is the first real contradiction I've seen in all the rumors. I must admit that 4AA on one GTX 280 at 1920x1200 would be far more than I would have ever believed so I'm inclinded to believe Fudzilla on this one.

I'm planning on getting two GTX 280's so it does look like 4AA at 1920x1200 is possible with two, as Fud is claiming that 2AA is possible with 2 280's at 2650x1600. We'll know in six days for sure. Thank goodness!

Well, it's easy to be correct if you say everything and its contrary...

He did on theinq, he does on his site.

I agree. I would run in DX9x with Vey High tweak.

at 1920X1200 on Very high how many FPS can you get? I was on youtube and some guy stated that two GT280's in SLI could reach 140+ FPS? Is this true.

I put about as much faith in sites like fudzilla as I do a random post on a message board. Mind you, I also don't believe the GTX280 would be able to pull 4xAA@1920x1200 in Crysis on VH, but that's simply me not putting much weight in any pre-release info.

I would not be suprised. Something is seriously ****ed up in Crysis code...

Bandwidth concerns or no, the card will probably perform significantly better once some decent drivers are out for it.

Wrong, u can use Transparency AA for the foliage and vegetation just fine and it'll look great. Then why ppl wanna use real AA is because it makes the game look alot better. And also the EdgeAA in crysis doesn't look good imo, it makes stuff blurred and kinda fat-looking.

Now, i find this information very interesting. It seems that one GTX 280 just have 8 FPS lower than two 9800Gx2's in Quad-SLI in crysis at Veryhigh in 1920x1200, that's pretty sick! Imagine those in SLI or even 3-way SLI, OMG!

I base this on this Quad-SLI crysis benchmark over here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXlR-Sjwg4w

44 FPS average with the dual Gx2's and 36 FPS with a single GTX 280, that's great! Soon we can max out crysis

Crysis doesn't seem to scale all that well with multi GPUs though.
