I looked up the wiki on this project and according to it, there are no issues with any of my parts. I am going to try this.

If you do your research, it'll work. If you're building a box specifically for this you'll want to read the Insanely Mac forums up and down to get the right parts.

Yeah, I checked wiki before I bought parts fot the machine in my sig. As I've already said I was able to get a fully working installation in less than 30minutes on this hardware. No problems at all.

Just installed it on my D975XBX2 (Intel BadAxe2) setup with practically zero problems. After installing OSX, I had to install NVInject and then AppleHDA to get sound working, but once I did that, things work perfect.
I think I'm gonna go back to Vista 32. I don't like how you can't maximize windows. But the overall look is MUCH cleaner on Leopard. Not a bad OS. Maybe I'll install it on my secondary hard drive and play around with it. |

actually, I just installed firefox 3 for the mac, and I'm really starting to like OSX a lot. I think I'll install open office and stick with it for a few weeks. Things like Mail, photos, calendar, and music are much more accessible.

I haven't tried FF3 for Mac yet, but since somebody is raving about it, I might as well try it out. I wonder how much better/worse it is compared to Safari . . . BTW, what do you mean "much more accessible"? Just curious about your experience with OSX. I never looked at anything on the Wiki and installed it without any hitches. Guess I got so excited about having OSX again I just didn't care lol. I'm still just blown away that there were no problems during or after the install. |

The same thing happened to me. I tried it for a few weeks which has now turned into months. I think it's a strong OS as far as productivity goes.

The only thing that OSX hasn't provided is a good gaming environment but for everything else, it's perfect. I haven't been home all week, so I'll be glad to work on OSX later tonight.
