you can buy brand new for about 440-450 now, and since it beats GTX 280 in more then half the test, its much better deal

The cheapest GTX 280 I seen is £399 then it will cut down to £350 or £300.

it is a good card, but nvidia just wants to find out how much they can get away with. I really hope ATi cards are good and might put a stop to this price hike. If it continues next cards will sell for 700-800.

The best thing right now would be for ATI to come out with the 4800 series being very competitive. If they do...then Nvidia will lower their prices. If ATI stumbles...we are stuck with overpriced parts. I thknk the G260 is going to be a very good part, but as the 8800 GTS was...it is a more high mid range card with excellent bang for the buck...however, I believe that the real price point for the 260 should be $300 to $350...not $400.

8800GTX MSRP was $599 at launch so GTX 280 is $50 more.
