It does scale almost as good, you just need to have the cards loaded down. |

Did they lower performance of Gx2's via drivers so the GTX 280 looked better, or whats going on there? |

Just got done installng my GTX280, tried UT3 and Mass Effect, both are now running very nicely at 1920*1200 with 4xAA, also tried world in confict, performance jump there is very nice indeed over my 8800GTX, I might have to replay it all over again.
![]() Will try some other games and overclocking tomorrow, |

Here's my first swipe @ Vantage with a single GTX 280. It was @ 665|2300. Driver 177.35.

Ok, not so happy right now. Tried GTX 280 with Crysis and the noise from the fan/card is ridiculous, fan continually spins up and down which makes it even more irritating, plus there’s a weird stutter to the game, oh and to top it off it reached 105C
![]() I might return it, this just isn’t acceptable, much worse than even the fan on my old X1900XTX and hotter. |

I was just trying Jericho with AA enabled. Heavy smoke plus AA would drop my old 8800GTX to 32FPS at times. Lowest I've seen so far with this card is 54FPS @ 1680x with AA and all high. Most often I am between 65-91FPS.
AoC with bloom enabled all high @ 1680x 8xAA|16xAF has been 42-120FPS. That's in Khemi and Khopshef. FPS near water is way better with this card. Game's been running smooth. I also tried the pool room in TRL with next gen and AA enabled @ 1680x. I shoot from one end to the other to catch all the HDR. My 8800GTX did 46FPS there, this card does 90.
