I agree. I have two 8800GTX cards both idle around 54C now. GTX280 is not that hot, it requires power but who cares.

I think the price will need to be about $349 before it's a good upgrade choice in light of current market conditions and competition from ATI. The GTX260 is a nice card for sure just needs to come down a tad.

In the end, glad the 8800/9800's are about ready to retire. Man that was a long lived life span. Great design to have been able to stretch it out like that. What a monster design. kudos to the green guys on that.
