Does SLI work with different clocked models? Edit: I found out that it does from the SLI Faq...

The problem doesn't appear to be widespread at this point, but more searching on other forums needs to be done. I did run across a couple of similar threads in EVGA's forum when I looked earlier.I've received faulty hardware before and I know it's a drag having to return it. We should continue this type of discussion in this thread and have folks report back on how they resolved their problem. |

I think when it comes to the PSU...better not try to cut corners by trying to save a few bucks -.-...not worth putting in a **** psu and have the entire system fried.

Well, I got a modular 850w one (Superflower/TTGI Amptac), 6 12V rails varying from 20-33A depending, max of 68A combined. Should be plenty for SLI if I decide to do it, because I'd have to change my motherboard. But I don't think I will (SLI), since I expect BFG to refuse my RMA when the card reaches them. I opened it up and applied some AS5 on the core, but it's obvious the card has been opened up... So they can refuse it on the basis that I tried to fix it myself. I'm not getting my hopes up...

Well I just got my new BFG GTX 280 and I appear to be experiencing the same problem myself. I installed it and gave it a test run in Oblivion with QTP3 to stress out that 1GB frame buffer
only to find that after a few minutes of play my card started stuttering. Initially I wasn't that worried about the temp after reading most review cards held in the high 70s to low 80s C, but was shocked to see load temps in the high 90s. I didn't get a chance to install my new card until this night, so the best I could do was fire off an email to BFG 24Hr Tech Support. Much like the others with this problem, it is easily reproduced in a few minutes with a Ozone3D FurMark or rthdrbl run pushing the new card into the red zone . In my case it is clearly not ambient temps (mid 30s C) or my PCP&C 750W SLI series PSU since I am only running a single GTX 280 with my Q9650 proc.
