Luckily i never let card to reach 105C neither i have seen artifacts.

Not sure how the hell the thing can fix itself. I didn't lose any performance though.

It's not that hot outside but my room is little, and i have no air, also it's really dry here and computer itself heats up the room. Airflow in apartment is so bad that opening window in my room and in the room next to it doesn't help a lot. Right now it's 80F outside. It can reach up to 104F during the Summer or -40F in Winter time.

Now, what State in US has such extreme temperature?

Room temperature doesn't affect you components, we are talking about 1-3C at most.

Great lakes area? If you ever have sex with a girl in that room you better keep her hydrated.

anyone with an overheating card take one a part yet and re-apply heat sink compound?

a die that big and i would think that some unevenly applied compound would cause hell.

i may disassemble my EVGA since it doesn't void the warranty.

FYI, mine doesn't "overheat" but it does hit about 100 after furmarking for 30 minutes...

wouldn't mind a little more OC headroom.

fracking awesome cards btw, getting spoiled with smooooooooooth.

Actually North Dakota

I wouldn't trust that map, for the last couple of years we had really really extreme weather.
