Had HD-DVD now BlueRay...and i can say BlueRay sucks compared to HD-DVD...speaking of picture quality. Sony = crap.

I never tried HD-DVD but I do like Blu-Ray It's definitely much better than the old 1080p up-convert DVD player.

the best thing, imo, is that BD is coming into its own and things are finally becoming/are standardized across the board. now if they can start getting some better manufacturing processes to drive down those costs, ill be on board. still not in the right price range for me.
