There are none yet since the 4870x2 hasn't officially been launched yet. The only thing we have are a couple of previews and what has been tested with 4870x2's has been limited.
*EDIT* I am mistaken HardOCP, has benchmarks of 4870x2s in Crossfire. But they only tested the 280's in SLi so it will be hard to get an accurate comparison with Tri SLi, especially given the way [H] does their best playable settings benchmarks. |

Crysis certainly is faster on the GTX 280, Age of Conan is hard to tell, 3x 280's might be faster, not sure.

No they aren't. It's quite obvious that the 4870x2 will be the fastest single slot consumer video card ever released with a tremendous performance to price ratio. My hats off to AMD for producing such a fantastic product.
That said, I don't see me needing any more power for a long time, not at least until I upgrade to Nehalem in the next 12 to 18 months is what I'm planning. I'm considering perhaps that I may jump the gun a little earlier and build around Christmas depending on what the landscape looks like. My realy big concern is the future of SLI and what are nVidia's long term plans for their multi-GPU technology. It looks to be about as clear as mud. Possible X58 support, but not easy to integrate and this making motherboards harder to come by and more exspensive. Hey, I love nVdiai as a company overall. As much as AMD has pulled off with the 4800 series this time, its sure been a while for the Red Team. If he had to depend on them for great products at regualar intervals like nVidia, well, lets just say it wouldn't have happened. I don't know why I am so concerned about my next upgrade considering that the main rig now is crushing games and will probably for a while, I guess I'd like things to be a little more clear with nVidia. Maybe this is the begining of the end of their dominance for a while, maybe ever. Still really want to see how 3x GTX 280 SLI and 4870x2 CF stack up. I need a few braging rights but let's face facts. At the high end, nVidia is not where its at right now.

Terrible for horrible fanboys, yeah.
Back on topic, I saw benchmarks a few weeks ago that a Quadfire 4870 set up equal in score to that uber overclocked(17%) Tri-SLI GTX 280 set up that was shown at that overclocking event. It was Vantage, so I donno how much it counts but you can estimate performace from there via current Vantage scores vs games. |

I don't know where you get this from. Looks like the results are split to me. Wins some, loses some.

All canned benches, nice choice there. Only site that actually played the game show exactly what JakeUp said. Please dont think for a seconded I'm saying the 4870X2 sucks, because I'm not, I just hate canned, BS benches.

Only review worth reading. AAT still uses the same BS bench for Oblivion and BIOSHOCK, walkthru with zip, zilch, nada going on. Nice way to test those cards guys.

If you look at the mins @ [H] for Crysis VH @ 1920x IMO it's not playable on either setup. 10-13 min is just too brutally low.
http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/articl...50aHVzaWFzdA== BTW God Bless you fellows that can afford CrossfireX or Tri-SLi. Enjoy.
