SSAA = Quality Adaptive. It's in the driver.

"Quality Adaptive" is what ATI calls their supersampling transparency AA. Or are you talking about something different?

I think he's talking about Super Sampling Anti Aliasing. Not Transparency SSAA. The hardware is capable of it, but the drivers keep it from working unless of course you have a Mac, then it was in the drivers. Not sure about now though.

Nice their spreading out more but the Orland Park store blows.

Yea these cards will be 400 bucks soon cuz the industry isn't allowing this BS no more with 650 buck cards .

Guys like Jakup don't get effected by this cuz they don't pay much if any for their carfds.

I was talking about Super Sampling AA too. I need these modes badly for my projects.

HD4870X2 perf will be satisfying. Running two HD4870 in CF and it performs great. Allmost no microstuttering, and CF is quit widespread supported right now. Only EU3games perf with AA is a tad slower then one GTX280, but it stays playable.

I'm gooing to the HD4870X2 2 GB because the 1 gig frambuffer comes in handy with Crysys VH. BTW, this CF combo is faster on my rig then a GTX280 which I tested in DX10VH 1600x1200 16AF 4xAA, but there is some swapping and stuttering probably due framebufferlimits rather then CF issues.

QFT. That store is 5 minutes from my house and I ****ing hate it. It's a disgrace to the TD name and should be torn down.

Ya, I can't stand TD. I will use them if I need a part in an emergency or something but I never buy anything there in any other case. There prices are always higher than anywhere else, there staff is not only rude, but there complete idiots as well.

Are you referring to the GTX280x2? Or something of that sort?

On initial boot, it takes about 4-5 secs to load. After that, it is almost instant. It only uses 3 megs of mem, so no issues there. They have come along way with CCC. As far as I can see, they both load up fairly equally. Not sure about the profile setup. When I had my 8800GT, I never used the profile manager in Nvidias control panel, as I always used Nhancer. The CCC profile manager takes a bit longer to setup than Nhancer, but I am not rushed when I am gaming. No biggy if I lose 15 seconds of my life setting up a profile. The one thing I really do miss over my 8800GT is the SSAA modes, not that the GT could handle certain modes some of the times.
