EVGA Geforce GTX 280 419 after rebate

Nvidia needs a 280 GX2 with 2 gig's DDR5 and powersupply requirments for only 650Watts or less. Just 2 8 Pin Connectors.

Rosewill 950W for $150. It has 2x6pin and 2x8pin cables. It really good quality PSU. Had Rosewill 850W 4x6pin cables, worked like charm and it still works great.

Its probably 5 years old now, but I still haven't found a reason to pay $600 for an LCD that has a lower max resolution and looks like crap at anything but that resolution.

If this thing ever dies on me I'll invest in a good LCD... or maybe I'll just bust out my old 19" NEC CRT. That thing will still do 2048x1536 @ 60Hz.

We are talking about free 8X AA at 1920x1200 with the Radeon HD 4870 X2

At 1920x1200 we were playing Age of Conan at the highest settings possible on the ATI hardware, 24X CFAA plus Adaptive AA with the highest in-game settings. At 2560x1600 we were able to turn on 8X AA plus Adaptive AA as well, providing better image quality than GTX 280 SLI.

If you like running AA, then you should like the 4870 or 4870x2. Frame-buffer be damned--it is just not as important if you can use other means to implement AA with.

I guess I'll keep it and use it for a 2nd PC when I order the 280.
