EVGA 780i Rev. A w/ FSB @ 1600Mhz QDR
Q6600 g0 @ 3.6GHz
2x EVGA 9600GT SC in SLI @ 740/1100Mhz (linked shaders)
2GB OCZ ReaperX HPC Edition PC9200 DDR2 RAM (2x1GB sticks @ 800MHz & 5-5-5 CL)
72GB WD 10K RPM Raptor HDD
Windows Vista Home Professional 32-bit OS w/ SP1

*All air cooled* TRUE-120 for the CPU, stock cooling on the 9600GTs and motherboard.

Ambient room temp of ~82*F

w00t! Looks like the SLI Nvidia 9600GTs are putting a slight hurting on the ATi HD4870s, even when installed on a faster PC (at least in 3Dmark06 anyway)! LOL.

Unfortunately I am on i975x so my Q6600 is stuck @ 3.5GHz. I thought I'd run 06 with my single GTX 260 anyway-

Is that with all options in the NV Control Panel off or what? Seems kind of low for your Quad/280 rig, doesn't it?

3DMark06's just so CPU bound. Should use Vantage.

I was just wondering, because his score wasn't much higher than mine, but my score is with everything off, so that is the best score I can get. He might have had his settings set different, but if not... *shrugs*

Prolly because i'm running 3GB of memroy in Flex mode. i had troubles running 4GB on dual channel mode so i sticked with that.
also i'm using the WHQL 177.41 drivers .. i'm not sure if there are any better/recommened ones for the GTX 280 ?

in anyways i'm using 3DMark06 as just an indication .. my Crysis scores are in order & thats what matters to me.
