Installed BFGGTX 280 last night. Then installed Crysis again after shelving it until I had hardware to run it. All I can say is "wow". Awesome frames. Looks great. I'm getting a little flashing artifacting though. In the old days I would think it's a heat issue but I ran Mass Effect and no such artifacting so I'm thinking it may be a Crysis thing. Anyone else have this experience with this game?

Oh, didn't read the instructions, thought I had no reason...also I couldn't see the film until it started to come off anyway.

Just got my BFG GTX 280 OCX edition(665 core 2400mem, 1456 shaders), installed it, ran Vantage. Its awesome, 5400 on extreme, my old 8800 scored 2000. Ran Furmark for a good 5 min to check temps, topped out at 82c so looks like I'm good as far as the overheating problem.
![]() Sounds fine normally, but with Furmark running it sounds like a blow-drier. |

Just clicked the confirm order button on a PALiT GTX280 ( $399 US with MIR ) and a new full tower case @ Newegg.
I just couldn't pass up the $399 deal. Plus I simply love nHancer so couldn't go back to ATI even though the 4870 is a awesome card. I'll post a follow up post once I have everything install ......Looking forward to changing hardware .Thanks ATI for the low nVidia prices! PS - Hoping there isn't a temp. problem with my GTX 280......but I am worried about it, and will be the first thing I test,

A good stress test would be the Furmark for OpenGL & Crysis for DX10.
