8 Pin power adapters? - Page 2

I'm using a special adapter 2x4 pin to 8pin and works flawlessly (dunno with which psu it came).

Silverstone zeus 750w here btw. And my rig is loaded of stuff (scsi raid controller and drives). Not a glitch.

The adapters work fine, the 8 pin plug and 6 pin plugs are the same except the 8 pin carries two extra ground wires. If your PSU is of good quality with enough current there is no reason to upgrade it, use adapters.

Agreed. I have a Silverstone DA850, but choose to avoid any problems and got a DA1200.

My Tt 850W didn't come with 8 pin connectors, mainly coz it's getting close to 2 years old haha. Wow... i just realised my computer is nearly 2 years old and it's still F'n badass...

A 6 to 8 pin adapter will not cause any problems at all if the PSU is strong enough. Those two additional pins are just grounds.
