Default genlock causing pixel swap

I have 12 identicle computers with a 1 flat panel monitor on each. The native resolution of the display is 2048x1536. Each computer has a quadro 5600G. The computers are all genlocked together with the first computer as the master. When I enable genlock the video on some of the computers will have every other pixel swaped. For example if the video pixels looked like

12345678
12345678
12345678

It gets converted to

21436587
21436587
21436587

This seems somewhat related to a thread here

http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=96054

This problem occurs at different dual link DVI resolutions. It also occurs on driver version 173.14.12 and 173.14.05. I am running redhat EL 4 32bit. If I take the computers out of genlock then the problem always goes away. The problem also randomly appears on different computers so I do not believe itís a hardware problem. The restarting X workaround mentioned in the other thread takes the computer out of genlock so that wont work. How do I keep them all genlocked and without the pixels swapping?
