Default recommend me a card

So, i bought an fx5200, and it was only $60... but it sucked, it really didnt perform like the benchmarks i had seen. So, I'd like to get some new card, somewhere under $150. What is the best bang-for-buck? This will (obviously) be running in linux, and on an athlon 1.4GHz.

thanks guys!
