Ain't it weird that we never thought to try this game. What an amazing discovery! I'm happy I finally started playing this...on my waiting for Diablo 3 to come out.

Yeah, and when we do give it a chance, the developer has gone bust. ::

Its there fault for releasing a crappy demo, The game is fun to play and iam getting my friend to buy the game also, so we can play online. The developers could of made the story better, right now iam only playing for the game play and skip all the text. This game is no Fallout 1 or 2 but for what it is, its great fun. I was kinda hoping they had the story telling of the god of war games mixed with Diablo formula would of made this game successful in sales.

Also the MP is very limited, if they had spent some time on making something like battle.net the company would of probably still been around, so its their stupid fault for making the wrong decisions with a fundamentally good game that only needed a little more work to make it a successful title in sales and an overall better game.

God of War story style would have made the game for me too. The story was disappointing. The developer themselves can take the blame, if you've read their posts on the game recently you'll see they are pretty bitter. Though the press did give them a really bad time over the game, a lot of it was unjust IMO.

Depends where you look. It got a favorable review from AUS mag PCPowerplay, but a lot of the online reviews criticised the game for 'bugs' which didn't exist. Basically the reviewers failed to read the manual. There was once classic example, I'll did up the link if I can. Basically the reviewer complained about having to walk all the way back to the store to sell loot, when if he read the manual he'd know he could simply teleport back and forwards between his location and town.

Dunno, I bought my first copy after they released some of the first patches for the game and enjoyed it a lot
I was holding out as my brother told me it was buggy on release.
Then I picked up a second copy with the soundtrack cd.
I was very sad to read they had closed down as it is a very good game. The expansion was also very good.

After reading what all the expansion brings to the game besides the extra part of the story and after playing the game for over a week now, I can see how the game really isn't complete without the extra little enhancements the expansion brings. The artifact creation, enchanters and caravan storage are things I think are essential at this point.

And though it's a fun game with lots of eye candy, I do agree with most of the critics in saying that the story is practically non existent. There's really no actual substance to the story of the game like there is in the diablo games and I think that's one of the main differences between the two games. In D2, you really feel like you've been sucked into the middle of this epic story of good and evil. In TQ, I feel like I'm this random nobody running around killing endless hordes of enemies and though the side quests are fun, they haven't done a good job (thus far) in effectively integrating them into the main story. some are, but most aren't.
