Default Gradual text corruption in konsole with RH9

I'm not sure if this is a video driver issue, but it never hurts to ask. I noticed that when I'm using programs that scroll text in a konsole window (like vim or less) the text starts to leave "trails".

I start to see pixels left behind here and there. If I scroll enough, the screen becomes polluted with lots of stray dots.

This happens when I scroll line by line, but not when I scroll using Page Down for example. It also cleans up if I switch to another window and back.

Is it possible this is a video driver issue?

When I had that many years ago (on different hardware) it was a hardware problem.
Bit errors while performing the large memory-copy needed for scrolling.
Caused by too little decoupling on the memory chips (combined with power supply voltage already on the low bound of tolerance).

Of course it can be a completely different problem on your system...
