Spage siege poor performance?

Sometimes I get quite bad performance in certain sections, like massive slowdowns, especially with lots of lighting and smoke. I'm not sure if it has got anything to do with the game or with my system, everything seems to be okay, had a virus and spyware a little while ago, removed it immediately, and there is no trace any more, so shouldn't be that.

Anyone else suffering from slowdowns?

Mind, I've got 16xAF, 4xTRMSAA on.

175.19 drivers.

Intel C2Q Q6600 G0 (3.6Ghz)
eVGA nForce 680i SLI A1 P30
Geforce 8800GTX 768MB
Corsair 4Gb TWIN2X2048-6400C4

I have slowdowns with a GTX280 without AA/AF. I'm guessing terrible coding...
