I found this some time ago, but thought it would never go anywhere! today i see they have an alpha demo out, and from what i read on the forums its compared to Red Orchestra but better ..
you need Half Life 2 to play this WWII mod. http://www.resistanceandliberation.com/ |

Looks nice.
Downloading now. ![]() Hopefully it has the realism of Red Orchestra with the graphics and polish of the Source engine.

Just gave it a try and... it seems like they did a pretty nice job for an alpha. It seems smooth and the controls are different but work well. The graphics are ok, but the level design looks a little sloppy... like most "sim" mods.
But I don't know if its for me. Respawn timers are extremely long... like up to 2 minutes... and basically people just wander around trying not to die. There isn't any hud, no objectives, flags, points, kill\death notices... I guess its realistic in that sense, but it just doesn't seem like it'd be much fun unless both teams were very serious and really knew how to do tactics...

I didn't check, I just went online.
It'd be kind of irritating waiting 2 minutes to respawn while bots are playing... ![]()

i'm really liking this alpha. the game has a *ton* of potential! as far as the spawn times, its the official server that has a long spawn time
i played on a Omaha server and had a blast!!! 15 second spawn time. the final version is going to be amazing i think. well, that's if your into semi realistic WW2 shooters. even in alfa state its better than red orchestra imo. |
