it might show, but it doesn't

in Vista RTM when people were buying machines with 32bit vista and 4gb they notice that they only had little over 3gb of usesable memory. people by thousands were complaining to OEM companies.

so to shut up all the people microsoft change that in Vista SP1. so in SP1 it shows 4gb, but it is still not used.

I have the option to go X64 if I want. I'm using a loaner activation from work to test on my home pc. So far, CM8 is the only real issue I'm having problems with.

I'm just wondering if any other programs I use will have conflicts with the X64 system or if everything will be more or less the same.

Like... will all games run just the same and are all the 64 bit drivers all the same stability wise?

No problems here what-so-ever . Crysis benefits too, especially if you run alot of AA. I've had it using 2.5Gb of vRAM.

good then I'll give it a shot. I loaded it saturday and really only got to put some key programs and steam on and I keep all my backup files and install programs on a different partition so it won't hurt to wipe and load again.

totally stable with 64 bit vista.

And I didn't realize this but he somehow has integrated all of the advanced dynamic lighting, HDR and up to date technology from EP2 into EP0 and EP1.

So unless that was applied in an official valve patch, this is much more than a mere re-texture. the dynamic lights make the game so much better.
