This is good cuz maybe these guys will be smart and not charge 600 bucks agin for hardware thats really worth half that.

You can really build a top end gaming rig for around 2500 now but of course with Alienware and HP still charging 5 grand for same system that costs 2400.

Good times are to come.

I love ATi/AMD nVidia was price gouging so bad... I might even get AMD's new card because the price is so low....

And I thought I'd be sticking it out with my 4850 for a little while...at this rate a little more futureproofing might be in the offing sooner than expected...

Vanilla GTX 260 cards are down to 235usd with rebate-

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814261016

These are very nice cards for 1920x @ about 650+ on the core. [H]ard did a recent review of one @ those speeds.

http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/articl...50aHVzaWFzdA==

Most shouldn't have trouble doing 675 on the core and I've seen people all the way to 760 on the core with well cooled good cores.

Now this is interesting, a GTX 280 overclocked at 650mhz core and 2300mhz memory. Is this good for $399 at Newegg?

I wouldn't trust an open box product, even from Newegg.
