Default installing nvidia driver on FC8 with Planet CCRMA

I just set up Fedora 8 with Planet CCRMA and I would like to use the nvidia driver instead of nv. I know it's not a simple rpm installation because I'm using a real-time kernel. There's a related forum here but it doesn't look like this user got it working 100%. Can someone tell me the correct way to install it?

Here's the result of uname -a:
Code:
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.24.7-1.rt3.2.fc8.ccrmart #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Mon May 12 17:53:55 EDT 2008 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
FYI, my system doesn't seem to run reliably with the most recent kernel, so I'm sticking with 2.6.24 for now. I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500.
