_Attach_ it to a forum post.
Scroll down a bit, there is a "manage attachments" button. Use it.

As for the compression: use gzip or just any graphical frontend for it.

Yes. As guessed, it fails to load the EDID of your monitor, which would contain important information about valid frequencies and resolutions of your monitor.

Please try removing the following lines from your /etc/X11/xorg.conf

modeline "640x480@60" 25.2 640 656 752 800 480 490 492 525 -vsync -hsync
modeline "800x600@56" 36.0 800 824 896 1024 600 601 603 625 +hsync +vsync
modeline "800x600@60" 40.0 800 840 968 1056 600 601 605 628 +hsync +vsync
modeline "1024x768@60" 65.0 1024 1048 1184 1344 768 771 777 806 -vsync -hsync
modeline "1280x960@60" 102.1 1280 1360 1496 1712 960 961 964 994 -hsync +vsync
modeline "1280x1024@60" 108.0 1280 1328 1440 1688 1024 1025 1028 1066 +hsync +vsync
modeline "1400x1050@60" 122.61 1400 1488 1640 1880 1050 1051 1054 1087 -hsync +vsync
modeline "1600x1200@60" 162.0 1600 1664 1856 2160 1200 1201 1204 1250 +hsync +vsync

and

Modes "1600x1200@60" "1400x1050@60" "1280x1024@60" "1280x960@60" "1024x768@60" "800x600@60" "800x600@56" "640x480@60"

You wont have much resolutions afterwards, however, this configuration should work, so that you have at least a graphical interface. Then we can try to add some resolutions.

try using nvidia-xconfig... there slots of old junk in your current config (possibly bad modelines and multiple device entries/drivers for the same device)

Sorry but, how can I edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file?? I did it before with xubuntu, on a iMac... Do not remember the codes...

Also, I tried nvidia-xconfig, and I got this.

shawn@ubuntu:~$ nvidia-xconfig

Using X configuration file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf".

WARNING: The CorePointer device was not specified explicitly in the layout; using the first mouse
device.

WARNING: The CoreKeyboard device was not specified explicitly in the layout; using the first
keyboard device.

ERROR: Unable to write to directory '/etc/X11'.

Just with any editor you like.

For gnome:

gksu gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

For kde:

kdesu kate /etc/X11/xorg.conf

for xfce:

sudo mousepad /etc/X11/xorg.conf

for everything else:

sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

You need root permissions to edit this file. Please read the basics of ubuntu.

sudo nvidia-xconfig

would be correct.

DUH!!!!! I should have known that. Or, I did.

Anyhow, I edited the X11.conf file, and such and such... Enabled the 3d accelerator, and restarted. As usual, I got a blank screen, edited the xserver via dpkg-reconfigure xserver... Rebooted, then came to a WARNING: running in low graphics screen... I configured the monitor again, now the only thing different is that I have a low resolution....

I'm very curious what solution there could be. Me using a 9300M GS also having this problem. Not sure if other 9300M users have had any issues though.

Edit:
Should've added, the topics name is completely misguiding.
