everything is fine:
when Xorg starts the secondary monitor is detected and gdm is placed on the primary monitor I log into gnome and full screen on an application fill only one monitor

when the external monitor isn't detected Xorg runs normally and everything is fine a part from the fact that if I connect the second monitor and run nvidia-settings and I select twin view I got one huge virtual monitor and application in full screen use both monitors

is there a way to fix this ?
