Question Whereis NVPerfSDK ?

Hi,

A lame question: where can I download the NVPerfSDK for Linux ?
My problem is that on the NVPerfSDK home page (http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nvperfsdk_home.html) I see now download at all.
So if anyone can provide me the exact URL for that, that would be great.

And a similar question for the perfkit (http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nvperfkit_home.html)
where the only reference to Linux is:
Quote:
The Linux installers for PerfKit 5 are not yet available, but will be released soon.
...but all the donwload links are to the windows stuff only.
Thanx for any hint.

Just for the record:
I've finally found it: (thanks to linux.softpedia.com):

It's here (64 bit) or here (32 bit).

It's kinda sad that I cannot find it within the NVIDIA site but need an external web page to tell me the URL for that.

Is there any newer version than this for Linux ? I'd expect at least version 4, based on the comment on the official web page.

NVPerfSDK 6.0 has finally been updated and released on Linux! Yes! Finally! See this page:

* http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nvperfkit_home.html

However, I'm having trouble with the instrumented driver seg faulting on any OpenGL app, including glxinfo. Will start another post on that shortly.

Note I had to stop using the 2.1 NVPerfSDK years ago because it stopped working with newer kernels (distro releases).

Thanks, I've already found that recently.

However I have quite basic problems with it, namely, it fails to init. See this thread.

May I ask what kernel are you using ?

2.6.22.18-0.2-default (OpenSuSE 10.3 + updates).

Had some problems myself (here). Mailed it to nvperfkit@nvidia.com on Thursday, and NVidia/Jeff Kiel got back to me the same day saying he'd pass it off to the Linux dev team to see if they could understand it (man I like how NVidia treats their customers ).

Mysterious, I also use a 2.6.22.* kernel.

I did the same, and Jeff replied to me as well, and he always does when I poll about the progress. So the treatment is really fine, but I still haven't got any working solution.
(They are busy with other problems, I guess NVPerfKit is not no. 1 on their list. So I stopped polling them every day.)

I have the same problems with the nvperfsdk 6 as you guys are having, tzp/Dark. (seg fault and not initialized).
Linux thermal 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 12:47:45 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
My code works in Vista though.

Same no-counters result on SuSE 11.0 (kernel 2.6.25.11).
