Default Stalker Clear Sky

A friend just got his copy today from the egg. Ordered it yesterday.

He hasn't played it yet, I am curious as what he thinks.

Here is the game with max dx10 settings, (still a couple settings are grayed out, i think they are wet surfaces and volumetric smoke) I think its not working right, cause I don't see god rays or other effects.

Also these screens have FULL AA, I have AA forced off in nvidia control panel, i don't know why its doing AA but that explains the bad performance.

I thought it was reported that the game was delayed in the US due to manufacturing problems?

Hmm. Doesn't look to me like AA is enabled in those screens. Check out the lamp post in the first one, and the antenna in the last one... If it's enabled, I'd say it's no more than 2x...

That, or I have to have my eyes checked

compare this screen i posted above, with the second screen I took in dx9 mode.

dx10

dx9

I can tell that not everything has AA in dx10 but most of it does.

Bah... I hope not.

I just wanted this game to improve the translation, graphics and overall polish. That's all that the first one really needed.

The tech demos looked so much better than those screen shots. Why is the beam and sky all distorted? I hope it doesn't perform like ass, and the game play is as good as Shadow.

Ya.. what did they break? SoC played so smooth with everything on full! Am I going to have to finally upgrade my trusty 8800GTX?
